My craft room!

My craft room!

Now that everything is getting some what settled in our new home, I was able to start piecing together my craft room. It is still not organized but for the time being it will do. And being that my place of craft at our old house was the dining room table, it meant that now I didn't have a chair for me to sit at and sew. On the way back up to the old house I saw a sign for a garage sale and last minute decided to stop (Seriously, I think the person behind me spilled there morning coffee because he was showing me that he was #1 while he was also showing me that his horn worked. hhmmm, maybe I should invest in one of those bumper stickers that says "CAUTION: This car breaks for garage sales"). I was able to pick up a old wooden chair for $4.00.

I love having my own space now. It's nice. While I haven't created anything in there yet, it's just nice. K. and L. have already placed a few of there toys in there for when they want to come and spend time with me.

That's just fine, they are more than welcomed to come in there at anytime.

There are just 2 things up at the old house left. My hope chest that houses my yarn and a rocking chair. Other than that, I'm set and ready to start crafting.

My craft room!
The hope chest will go right in the corner where L. is and the rocking chair is still undecided.

That is L.'s old changing table that, since it's no longer used by her, house my fabric. At our old house, this was up in James' and I room. Then the closet I am going to store stuff that I don't really use on a daily basis and my Etsy stuff.
Once everything gets settled in, I'll start hanging pictures (from the girls) and other things on the wall. I want James to build me shelving above my sewing table for some extra storage but that will come in time. Right now it's just nice to have my own space.

Enjoy your craft room. Before my DD was born 19 years ago, I had a room for my sewing, ironing, fabric and pattern storage. However, I gave that up when she was born. One of these days, I'll have my room back. Until then I sew in the main room of the house.
