This bag here I am calling "Spring Fling" for who knows what reason. I actually had fun making this one and the only thing that took the longest was deciding what handles to go with. They should have some kind of guide that you can use to say "OK this bag - use this handle. These bags - use these handles" I LOVE handles for many reasons. 1. because, um, I guess stating the obvious but I'll throw it out there anyways, it's how you hold the bag. Being a Mom I LOVE bags that are on my shoulder or even back pack style bags. 2. It's what makes the purse. You could spend hours picking out fabric, cutting out the fabric, stitching the fabric together, and so on. But one wrong handle choice and you'll be upset with the bag. Maybe it's my own personal opinion or maybe it isn't, who knows.
So, I sent a pic of this bag to my Mom at work and she immediately fell in love with it. She asked if it was her's. I said "No, I get the first one, you pick out what fabric you want and I'll make you one." Then I went to my neighbors today to show her (she also sews and we show each other what we make. She is in her 60's and is the MOST sweetest lady I know.) and she said that she wanted one and her daughter was there and she said that she wanted one as well. I wasn't really expecting to get that great of a feedback on it. Oh, and as far as the purple Kiss My Bum bag that I had made this past weekend. IT'S GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! My MIL was over on Sunday and purple is her favorite color. When I showed it to her she said "Thanks, I'll take that" I just started to laugh.
